The NTA was established in the United Kingdom in 1961 by Bishops M L Powell and D E Bernard. An International organisation with Churches in Ghana, South Africa, Jamaica, Canada, USA, Singapore, Malaysia and India, NTA prides itself in its ecumenical involvement with the historic Churches, the Ecumenical Instruments, and its credibility with statutory and non-statutory bodies. We believe in being at the forefront making a difference and paving a path for future generations.
NTA is a community orientated Church at the cutting edge with many of its branches working collaboratively with Local Authorities to provide services in the community. We are a charity and a Company Limited by Guarantee.
In Institute of Theology and Christian Counselling is the training arm of the NTA and offers courses which are accredited by the University of Wales Lampeter, the third oldest university in the UK. You will find these courses informative, motivating, creative and stimulating. They will enhance your professional competence, contribute to your personal growth and development, maximise your potentials, and aid your spiritual walk and ministry.
NTA has membership with these renown organisations, namely, the African and Caribbean Evangelical Alliance, the Evangelical Alliance, Churches Together in England, Churches Together in Britain and Ireland, and the Free Churches Group. We maintain tangible links with other Pentecostal Churches and the newer Independent Churches. Members of the Trustee Board serve on Government and other National Committees.
