Thank you for showing an interest in the New Testament Assembly (NTA) Institute of Theology and Christian Counselling (ITCC). It is hoped that as you read through this prospectus your questions will be answered and you will decide to pursue a course of study with us.
The Institute was established in 1979 offering English and Religious Studies to students who were studying for GCE “O level” and adults who were desirous to gain knowledge in these subjects. Within a few years, as these courses became more and more popular, consideration was given to offering courses in theology. This was achieved in 1984 and in 1986 the theology courses were accredited by the University of Wales Lampeter (UWL). This was a great achievement.
In 1997 the NTA courses in Christian Counselling were initiated. These were accredited by the University of Wales Lampeter in 1998 and operated independently until 2007 when the two wings of studies were consolidated into the Institute of Theology & Christian Counselling.
We are committed to “Promoting Excellence in Ministry & Pastoral Counselling” and aim to provide a progressive, dynamic, innovative teaching environment that enhances learning, ministry orientation and development.
Bishop David Greaves, National Presiding Bishop has this to say about the Institute “ITCC is a well structured academic institution that offers courses that are designed to inspire, strengthen, and further increase your spiritual wisdom, biblical knowledge, instill new skills and propel you towards achieving your spiritual and professional aspirations”.
“The Institute, the training arm of the New Testament Assembly,” says Bishop Melvin Powell, International Presiding Bishop, “has kept abreast with contemporary training methods and developments in the field of education. Lectures are well researched and professionally delivered with excellent outcomes. I am committed to give the Institute my full support”.
The highly qualified and professional staff of the Institute look forward to welcoming you to the faculty. We pray and trust that as you choose us for your studies at Higher Education that you will find your time with us rewarding and enjoyable as you commit yourself to learning that will enhance you and the Kingdom of God.
You will be informed to transform your world.
